Pregnancy Highlights: How Far Along: 24 weeks
Size of baby: She is the size of an ear of corn (about 12 inches)
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 10 lbs
Maternity Clothes: Still only having to wear maternity jeans, but I have really loved wearing maxi dresses this week with the warmer weather we've had!
Gender: It's a GIRL! Lucy Pearl Giles
Movement: All the time! :)
Sleep: Sleeping pretty well, waking up still about once per night to go the bathroom. Also, just recently started waking up hungry during the middle of the night, too.
What I miss: Being able to reach my toenails to paint them (still can, just not very comfortable!)
Cravings: Anything to do with pizza – hot pockets, bagel bites, actual pizza, etc. and mexican food! Yum! :)
Symptoms: hearburn/acid reflux still, although it is some better this week! I've also been fighting an upper respiratory infection the past couple weeks. It stinks being sick while you're pregnant! :(
Baby Milestones: Her brain is growing quickly now, and her taste buds are continuing to develop. Her lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help her air sacs inflate once she hits the outside world.
Best Moment this week: Scoring some awesome baby clothes for you this weekend with your Daddy! :)
